PH | Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurant

It seems like Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurant has been included in almost every foodie's to-try list -- both for their succulent savoury meals and sinfully delightful desserts.  One of the problems I've had with them, though, is the lack of a branch near our home or any other place in the Southern Metro that we frequently visit.

So when we found ourselves in Robinsons Magnolia one weekday morning, the family decided that a visit was finally in order, if only to partake of some of their well-raved about some sweets.

Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurant

From its humble beginnings as a small bake/coffee shop in Paranaque, Conti's has grown in size and number, with the menu also boasting of an extensive savoury and sweet selection.
Too bad, we just had breakfast and we were only in for coffee and cakes; but those were great darn cuppa joes and sweets, man!

Regular Brewed Coffee

In this age of super expensive designer coffee, I believed that coffee nowadays, isn't really coffee anymore.  It's a concoction with caffeine but with too many darn stuff added into it.  It's confusing and complicated.

Which is why it's always refreshing to just simply enjoy a regular cup of brewed coffee (Php60.00).  No more added creams, syrups, special milk or whatnot.  It's just brewed coffee.  Have it black (for those true aficionados) or with cream (fresh milk) and brown sugar.  Simplicity at its best.  Conti's also offers a complimentary refill.

Bananalicious Pie

Bananalicious Pie (Php110.00 a slice), their delicious take on a banana cream pie.  Rich and creamy but not cloyingly so.

Choco Almond Sansrival

Choco Almond Sansrival (Php105.00 a slice).  Rich buttercream sandwiched in between chewy layers of meringue, topped with lots of sliced almond.  The chocolate adds that extra bitter sweetness.

Kudos to the excellent service as well.  We were never in want of anything.  Definitely coming back for more.  

I agree with this! There's too much additives in coffee that it stop being coffee. Coffee just became one of the ingredients. Real coffee drinkers drinks real coffee.
