The Manly Man's Cronut: Bronut

I've noticed that Filipinos love following trends.  Be it in fashion or in food.  So when Dominique Ansel released his famous Cronut, it isn't any wonder that a lot of local versions would also come out.

From Cafe France to French Baker to small home businesses -- the choices are outstanding and personally, confusing.  One just can't seem to pick a favorite; but we've had that choice made easier for us by the Little One's preference for a Bronuts concoction.

Cream Cheese & Bacon

In particular, their Cream Cheese & Bacon.

Whereas the Dominique Ansel brand evokes visions of tea snacks and high maintenance society ladies, the Bronut is the quintessential manly man's treat.

Servings are huge!  And the choices are not your typical everyday fail-safe combinations.  They have Belgian Chocolate with Salted Caramel, Blueberries & Cream, and the family-fave, Cream Cheese & Bacon.

Sweet and salty -- my favorite mix!

Each piece sells for Php110, good enough for 2 to share; but tell that to the Little One who quickly devoured half in a span of a few seconds (who knew such a little body could pack away that much?)  Also comes in boxes of 3 (Php330) and 6 (Php600).
