From it's stylish facade to it's tasteful decor, this eatery simply screams Parisian chic and sophistication. A sprinkling of the modern placed alongisde wooden puppets and carousels all make for one pleasing, decorative eye candy. Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of the color purple, but Bizu simply has me singing a different tune.
And seeing as I am such an old soul (in my heart, I still hold on to the belief that I had a number of past lives, all centering on eras and time periods I find most fascinating), I simply adore their drawings of 1920s flapper girls and chaps in tail coats, which oddly reminds me a little of the styles of legendary cartoonists and illustrators, John Held Jr. and Russell Patterson.
These wonderful illustrations that litter the walls of their 2nd floor area are simply a sight to behold. I actually had a hard time pulling myself away.
Meals usually start off with a basket of crusty bread (ciabatta or sour dough bread, me thinks)...
...and some herbed butter.
And since I was really famished, their chicken and pesto baked rice (Php345) was but only the most logical choice, for me anyway, since (1) I am a lover of anything fowl, and (2) I'm also a voracious dairy eater. Put both of them together and it's sheer heaven.

Their beef stew baked rice (Php395) is just as delicious except it's more uhmm... beefy. Tender beef pieces mixed in with puffy rice, spices, bechamel sauce, and a healthy dose of mozerella cheese. Yummy!

Bizu's baked rice dishes each are good enough for 2 to 3 people to share, a lesson Hubby and I learned the hard way. A tough one, but delicious nevertheless. But between you and me, I'd probably eat one order all on my own again without a second thought. J
Their lemon iced tea carafe (php95) is simply the perfect drink to wash it all down. They already had me at "houseblend tea."

One more dish I highly recommend is Bizu's 10 hour roast beef (Php595) which we had the utmost pleasure of having during an earlier visit (apologies for not having a photo of this, but you can view it at their website here.)
Imagine it. Slow cooked beef served with potato gratin and an assortment of veggies. It's so tender that the meat falls right off the bone. No need for a knife here, folks. It's that delicate and amazingly delicious.
Bizu Patisserie & Bistro might be more famously known for their sweets, but in my book, their savoury offerings just as well deserve such similar honor and recognition. J
