Meiji Low Fat Fruit Yogurt (A Singapore Food Post)

Before I gave birth to the Little One, I actually listed down some habits/traits that I wanted to instill in her as she grows up.  One of those is to ensure that she follows a healthy diet.

Having undergone the exact opposite as a kid, I learned through the years that all it takes for one to live healthy is to simply start doing it and pretty soon, it becomes a habit.  Don't get me wrong, she still enjoys the occasional fast food and chocolates (although I put my foot down on hard candies.  I am strictly against them.), but for most of the time, I make sure that the food she eats is enough to give her the nutrients she needs everyday.

At this early stage (she's now 14 months old), it's really a wonder how fast she picks up on good food.  Great thing she also developed a taste for these -- Meiji low fat fruit yogurts.

Meiji low fat fruit yogurt

Comes in different varieties like strawberry, mango, mixed berries, tropical fruits, and coconut.  We enjoy all flavors, except the aloe vera.  I still can't get over the fact the aloe vera can be considered as a food item since I can still clearly remember one of my lolas using this plant as shampoo for her hair.  J

Selling in major grocery stores island-wide (Singapore) for S$1 (Php33*)  Yum!

*S$1 = Php33

    1. It's just a matter to letting them get used to it. I wouldn't have eaten yogurt when I was little but since I've grown to love it now, nakuha lang ni baby. Takaw tingin kasi minsan and she likes eating what we eat kasi. Hehehe! =)

  6. Hi ! My daughter loves the taste of the Mango and strawberry flavour of Meiji. Is it safe to feed this low fat yogurt to a 8 month old baby? Can I feed it daily or alternately ? Thanks

    1. Hi Kriti! Thank you for visiting. I believe it is safe to give it to her (unless you may know of any allergies your baby may have that could prevent her from enjoying this.)

I actually started giving my daughter yogurt when she turned 8 months (cheese when she was around 6 or 7 months) and she still continues enjoying both items regularly. I fo would suggest that you start your daughter off slowly, say a teaspoon or 2 a day so as not to shock her system.

At this point of my daughter's age (she's now at 21 months), she can finish a whole serving by herself but I still make sure she doesn't have more than that in a day.

If still in doubt, I highly recommend that you also consult your pediatrician as well. We did and she gave the go ahead once we made sure that there were no potential allergens.

Good luck and hope your baby enjoys her treat! =)
